Our Story
Cupcake Couture is a women's clothing boutique dedicated to offering high-quality fashion at accessible prices. Every piece is hand-selected to be aspirational as well as wearable for everyday. Cupcake stocks hard-to-find denim, tops, dresses, handbags and shoes from both established and up-and-coming labels. Additional services such as private events are available on request.
How it began...
Founders Sara Whitfield and Samantha Bergey are sister-in-laws and best friends.
They met in high school in the 90’s—one day showing up in the same outfit: stan smiths, white long sleeve shirts, and khaki overalls. What caused an awkward moment eventually led them to start a business together: a similar taste in clothes. Their friendship didn’t truly start until Sam married Sara's brother and they became family in 2007. The following year Sam and Sara opened Cupcake in McMinnville's downtown 3rd street, and the rest is history. Expansions, remodels, highs, and lows have characterized the last 12 years, but none so special as six years ago when they each had their first baby girl, just three months apart. They’re so thankful for their families, Cupcake, and the wonderful customers that have made this adventure one for the books!
